How cancellation works
When you can stop, how to tell us, what happens to your web address, your website and your email, and how long we keep your data afterwards.
1 · The short version
The first year is a twelve-month commitment. After that you can stop before any renewal, and there is no cancellation fee. We provide the assistance and information needed to transfer your domain to you or to your nominated registrar account, subject to registrar and registry requirements. Your website data and email data are handed over, and we keep a backup for 30 calendar days in case you need it.
The point of this page is that you can read it before you pay. The first-year commitment is the one term that surprises people, so it is stated on the pricing section of the homepage and on the quotation you accept, as well as here. It is not buried in the Terms.
2 · The dates this page depends on
Four dates decide everything below, so they are defined rather than described.
- Start Date
- The date stated in your Order. If your Order does not state one, it is the date the website service was first made available to you. There is only ever one Start Date, and it is on your Order.
- Initial Term
- 12 months from the Start Date.
- Renewal Date
- The anniversary of the start of the current term. It is stated on your order and on your invoice, and repeated in the reminder we send.
- Cancellation Deadline
- 7 calendar days before the Renewal Date. A request received on or before that day prevents the renewal.
- Effective Termination Date
- The last day of the term you have already paid for, which is the day before the Renewal Date. Cancelling stops the next term; it does not shorten the current one.
- Received
- A request is received when the email reaches support@bizzweb.in without a delivery-failure message coming back to you.
3 · The first year
The standard managed website plan has a minimum initial commitment of one year, billed annually and paid at the start.
You cannot cancel that first year for convenience part-way through. This is not hidden in the Terms: it is stated before you pay. Please review the term before accepting the Order.
4 · Cancelling after the first year
After the initial year, you can choose not to renew for the next annual period.
A request received at least 7 calendar days before the Renewal Date prevents that renewal. We ask for those seven days so the domain transfer and the data handover can be done calmly rather than on the last afternoon.
Cancelling the next renewal does not shorten or terminate the term you are currently in. That term runs to its Effective Termination Date.
We will also send a renewal reminder to your registered contact email 30 days before each Renewal Date.
The reminder is a courtesy, not your only source of the date. Your Renewal Date is on your order, on your invoice and in your onboarding email, so you can find it without waiting for us. The reminder exists so that 30 days’ warning sits against a 7-day deadline, and a renewal never happens simply because you did not see it coming.
5 · No mid-year cancellation
Once a renewal year has started, that annual term runs to the end. You cannot cancel it part-way through for convenience.
What you can do at any time is stop it renewing again.
Asking us to switch the site off early does not reduce the fees payable for the rest of the current term, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Moving your website elsewhere in month eight ends the service; it does not end the term you have already paid for.
6 · Refunds
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, or where we agree otherwise in writing, amounts paid for an annual service term are non-refundable for unused time following early termination or non-use. The plan is billed annually and paid at the start, and stopping part-way through a term does not return the remainder of it.
The setup fee becomes non-refundable once we have started material setup or production work for you. That includes provisioning accounts, setting up the domain, design production, development, or any other work expressly included in your order.
7 · How to ask
Send an email to support@bizzweb.in from your registered contact address, and include:
- your client or business name;
- your website address;
- your registered contact email;
- that you are asking to cancel, and from when.
Your cancellation is effective when your request reaches us, provided it arrives on or before the Cancellation Deadline and contains enough information to identify you and the service. It does not depend on us replying.
We will acknowledge the request and confirm the Effective Termination Date. If you have not heard back within 3 days, chase us, because a reply confirms we have it. But a request that reached our mailbox on time has cancelled the renewal whether or not we answered promptly.
We will not ask you to sit through a retention call. If you want to tell us why you are leaving, we would like to know; if you do not, that is the end of it.
8 · What happens, and when
- 30 days before renewal
- We send the reminder, so you are deciding on time rather than in a hurry.
- On or before the Cancellation Deadline
- Your request reaches us, from your registered contact address, with the details above. That is 7 calendar days before the Renewal Date.
- Within 3 days
- We acknowledge and confirm the Effective Termination Date. Not heard from us? Chase. Your cancellation already took effect when the email arrived.
- Before the end date
- We start the domain transfer and prepare the handover files. You export anything you keep yourself, especially email.
- The end date
- Hosting, maintenance, support and the included monthly update stop. The website goes offline unless you have moved it.
- 7 days after the handover link is sent
- The download link stops working. Save the files before this.
- The 30 calendar days after the end date
- We still hold a backup, so a forgotten file is recoverable on request.
- 30 calendar days after the end date
- The backup is deleted, unless something requires us to keep it longer.
9 · Your web address
Your domain transfers to your own account, or to another account you nominate. We provide reasonable assistance and the registrar information and authentication details within our control that are needed to make the transfer.
The transfer itself remains subject to registrar and registry procedures, eligibility rules and technical requirements, which we do not control. We cannot promise an outcome that the registry decides.
After the transfer, you are responsible for:
- renewing the domain;
- registrar fees;
- DNS;
- nameservers;
- domain settings.
What we will need from you
A domain transfer is not something we can complete alone. Where the transfer requires action by you, we will tell you what needs to be done. Depending on the registrar, that usually means some of the following:
- creating an account with the registrar you are moving to;
- verifying an email address, often within a fixed window;
- giving us the destination account or registrar details;
- entering an authorisation or transfer code;
- approving the transfer with the losing or gaining registrar;
- completing any registry or registrar step that only the registrant can do.
Delays caused by an action we are waiting on from you are outside our control, and some of these steps expire if they are not completed in time. If one lapses we will tell you and start it again.
10 · Your website and its code
After cancellation, and once anything owed is settled, we hand over the files your order says you receive. The order is what defines the handover, rather than the word “source code”, which means different things to different people. Depending on your plan and your order, it can include:
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript files;
- CMS theme files;
- a database export;
- website media and content;
- plugin configuration and licence information;
- documentation and administrator credentials.
Unless your order says otherwise, the handover does not include our internal administration tools, our proprietary templates, our reusable frameworks and components, our internal deployment or monitoring systems, or any third-party software or licence that is not transferable. This is set out in full in the Terms.
Third-party licensed assets such as fonts, stock media and premium plugins remain subject to their own licences, and transfer only where the licence allows it. We will tell you which items those are.
The handover is delivered through a secure electronic download link, valid for 7 days. Save the files to your own storage rather than leaving them in the link.
The expiry of the download link does not itself mean the underlying backup has been deleted. They are two separate periods: the link lasts 7 days, the backup lasts 30. If the link expires before you have saved the files, ask us and we will issue a new one while the backup still exists.
11 · The 30 calendar day backup
Our ordinary cancellation backup is retained for 30 calendar days from the Effective Termination Date.
It may be retained longer where that is required by applicable law, by a dispute, by a legal hold, by a security requirement, or by something we have agreed in writing. Complete your migration or download before the 30 calendar days are up rather than relying on an exception.
This applies to the cancellation backup. It does not mean that every log and every technical record is deleted on the same day.
This term also appears in how we handle your details, and the two pages must always agree.
12 · Moving to another provider
We provide the agreed handover files. Migrating the site to another host is not automatically included.
If you would like us to do the migration, or to help troubleshoot it afterwards, we will quote for that separately. See what costs extra.
13 · Your business email
Export or migrate the mail you need before the service ends. Once the applicable mailbox is closed, messages that BizzWeb does not hold as part of a lawful backup or other permitted record may no longer be recoverable.
Email hosting does not continue automatically after termination. After cancellation you are responsible for your own email hosting and mailbox costs. If you want to keep the same address on your own account, tell us when you cancel and we will explain what the provider needs.
The 30 calendar day website backup does not include mailbox contents unless your Order expressly says otherwise. This is the step people forget: the website is recoverable from the backup for 30 calendar days, and your email usually is not recoverable at all. Website recovery and email recovery are separate things, kept in separate places. The same distinction is in the Terms.
14 · Brand Kit and Instagram Kit
Brand Kit
If the Brand Kit was purchased and fully paid, you keep the commissioned logo and the website graphic assets included in it. Cancelling the website plan does not take your logo away. Third-party assets remain subject to their licences.
Instagram Kit
The Instagram Kit is pay-as-you-use. There is no subscription cancellation restriction on it unless a separate order says otherwise.
15 · Anything still owed
Cancelling does not clear amounts that were already due. Those remain payable, and the handover follows settlement.
16 · After the handover, the domain is yours to renew
Until the transfer completes, BizzWeb remains responsible for the domain administration within its control. Once we have handed the domain over and told you it is done, completing the transfer and keeping the registration alive is yours to do: renewal, registrar account security, DNS, nameservers, billing and the renewal deadline.
We are not responsible for a domain expiring, or for redemption fees, where the transfer or renewal steps were not completed after the handover notice. Domains in redemption are expensive and sometimes unrecoverable, so this is the one deadline worth acting on immediately.
17 · If we end the service
We may suspend or end the service in the circumstances set out in the Terms: serious or repeated non-payment, material breach, unlawful use, or a security risk. Where it is practical, we give notice and a chance to put it right first.
Where the service ends this way, the handover in this page still applies once anything owed is settled: your domain, your data and your 30 calendar day backup are still handed over.
Late payment specifically
An overdue invoice does not cancel anything by itself. We do not voluntarily charge interest or a late fee, and you are told before each step. If you dispute an invoice in good faith, tell us in writing before the steps below begin and we will review the disputed amount first. The sequence is set out in full in the Terms:
- Day 10, services stop
- The website goes offline. Nothing is deleted, and paying switches it all back on.
- Days 11 to 13, a three-day buffer
- Three more days to pay. Most missed invoices are an oversight, and this is the window that treats them as one.
- Day 13, the agreement ends
- If the payment has still not arrived, the agreement ends.
- The 30 calendar days after
- We keep your website data for 30 calendar days from that date, then delete it. That is the same period you would get from an ordinary cancellation.
Amounts already due remain payable after the agreement ends, and the handover on this page applies once they are settled.
Stopping is not the same as ending. For three days after your site goes dark, it is still just switched off. We do not delete the website backup solely because payment is overdue during the applicable retention period, so the 30 calendar days that follow are yours to put things right in.
18 · Coming back later
Coming back is a new order at the prices current at the time, and what you pay to set it up depends entirely on how much work is left to do:
- Within the 30 calendar day backup window: no setup fee
- We will use the available backup to attempt to restore the website. You pay for the plan and nothing else.
- After 30 calendar days, where a usable backup still exists: currently ₹1,499
- Where BizzWeb still holds a backup from which the site can reasonably be restored without material redevelopment, we will use the available backup to attempt to restore the website. The current reactivation fee is ₹1,499, subject to the price schedule applicable when the reactivation is requested. It is roughly half the standard setup fee, because it is roughly half the work.
- After 30 calendar days, rebuild needed: the standard setup fee
- If the site has to be built again from scratch, the basic site setup rate current at that time applies.
The 30 calendar day window is therefore worth more than the files in it. Coming back inside it costs you nothing to restart. Coming back outside it costs at least the reactivation fee current at the time, and only where a usable backup still exists.
19 · Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Thinking about it, or already decided?
Either way, tell us. A cancellation we know about a month early is a tidy handover; one we hear about on the renewal date is a rush.
